Years coaching soccer.

-Current club coach.

-Former high school coach.

-Former club director of coaching, meaning that I was assigned to direct and mentor other coaches.

Over 200 players that made higher level teams after training with me. Team levels they made include Platform Leagues, Premier, D1, High School, and College. Many (not all, but many) of these players were beginners, or unwanted by higher level teams, before training with me. They grew significantly here.

0

Coaches that I’ve mentored and directed when I was a director of coaching. Coaches actually still come to me for help and I love to help them, no matter the club they’re with. We need more coaches that want to improve and give more to their players, so I’m always willing to help them just how in the past others have helped me.

0

Teams I’ve coached that have promoted to higher divisions. Often I’d coach a “B or C team” at a club, help a lot of players improve, and then they’d get taken by the “A team” coaches at the club or they moved to higher level teams elsewhere and I start over. But when I do get to keep teams intact, they move up. From taking a girls team at a low level at U14 into Premier at U17, to putting U9 teams in top divisions to lose a lot their first year but win a lot one or two years later, I give a lot to my teams build successful ones.

U9-18

Age ranges coached in both boys and girls teams. I’ve coached younger, middle youth, and older youth boys and girls. Whatever age and level of play your child is, know that I’m committed to helping them grow. Training here is not easy but you will see improvements. See for yourself.

WHY TRAIN AT SOCCER THAT MAKES SENSE?

TRAIN WITH PURPOSE

Every session we do has a purpose. Players are expected to come to our training sessions to learn, review, improve, and contribute. Trainings will be challenging, but within players’ reach, no matter their current level of play. We’ve helped many players improve considerably by training our way. Your child may be our next success story.

LEARN WHILE PLAYING

Players train realistic game situations when possible, moments that demand decision-making, awareness, passion, and execution under varying pressure. We connect what players work on to real moments players face in matches. We help players see the game in a bigger way, adding greater meaning to what they do.

DEVELOP IN ALL AREAS

We train every area of the player, not just emphasizing a few here and there. Technical, Physical, Mental, Tactical, and Emotional areas will all be trained so that players grow in a balanced, connected way. A great soccer player once said that soccer is played with the mind, and that our feet are just the tools. We train the feet, engine, mind, eyes and heart in a unique way.

OUR TRAINING DEVELOPS PLAYERS IN 5 AREAS

TECHNICAL

We train everything players do before, after, and while having the ball. Active, individual, continuous skill. The best players do the simple technical things well, almost perfectly. Also includes the understanding of time and space.

PHYSICAL

We train player athleticism to help their bodies move efficiently and meet the demands of the game. Coordination, Agility, Balance, Speed, Quickness, Strength, Explosiveness, Endurance.

TACTICAL

We train soccer knowledge and IQ: what players look for, think of, and decide based on what’s happening in the game. The ability to identify, create, and solve problems.

MENTAL

We work on confidence, composure, the ability to handle pressure and being under control, psychological and cognitive areas of a player’s mind.

EMOTIONAL

Our differentiator. We work to help players become more emotionally invested in the game, a growing interest and passion for soccer as we experience it and learn more about it. Creating hunger, lighting a fire. Players’ abilities to care enough to train and play their hearts out.

THIS TRAINING IS A GOOD FIT IF...

  1. You want a trainer that’s invested in you and knows how to teach, no matter your level of play or how good or bad others think you are.
  2. You want honest feedback and are willing to make changes. If we give you homework then you’ll do it the way we ask.
  3. You respect players of all levels. Players who are better than you are examples of what you can become by working hard. As our training improves you, you won’t look down on others who are not as good as you. We aim to be like those who are better, and we help those who are not yet where we are.
  4. You haven’t fully found success with other trainers, or you enjoy them but still want more. The investment we make in our players, the way we teach and give feedback, the connections we strive for so your player wants to make changes from within…there’s just so much more that goes into your player’s growth.

We won’t be the right fit for everyone, but if any of those areas resonate with you then give us a try. For families who’ve committed to this process, the results speak for themselves.

WHAT PLAYERS AND PARENTS ARE SAYING

Trusted by players and families across 15+ years of player development.

Josue is one of the great ones. Our daughter Mac played at an early age under his tutelage. He was the player developer for our age group at our past club, and he was always mentoring players and coaches.

He has a long term approach to soccer. He focuses on helping players ‘see’ the game and play 3 or 4 plays ahead. Sure, he’s a master technician and can help with skills development, but that’s just one of the many skills Josue imported into the mind of the players on Mac’s team. Team play, hustle, body positioning, movement, how to strike the ball, placement etc, all skills that helped Mac develop into a great ECNL player.

At 13 years old, she has the ability to compete at the top levels, and has desires to play on bigger and better stages. We will always be grateful that Josue took Mac at an early age and developed her sense of assisting, scoring, and teamwork so she can flourish the way she does now!

-Heath T, father of a 2013 girl that moved to an ECNL team.

Training with Josue was one of the best decisions I made for my soccer career. When I first started working with him 5 years ago, I was playing for a lower level club team and knew that if I wanted to compete at a higher level, I needed to improve my skills. I had the passion and the drive to get better, but I didn’t yet have the technical ability or confidence to play at the level I wanted.

That’s when I decided to start training with Josue. A few times each week we would meet for individual training sessions where he worked with me on technical skills, decision making, and understanding the game the right way. He didn’t just run drills  he explained why things mattered and how to apply them in real game situations.

On the days we didn’t meet in person, he gave me specific workouts and skill exercises to complete on my own. Those “homework” assignments pushed me to stay consistent and keep improving even when we weren’t training together. The combination of his coaching and the work I put in outside of sessions helped me develop faster than I expected.

Training with Josue also taught me the importance of being coachable, disciplined, and resilient. Progress didn’t happen overnight, but over time I began to see real improvement in my game.

Because of that work, I was able to play varsity high school soccer, move up to one of the highest level club teams, and eventually win a State Cup championship. Those experiences were goals I once thought were out of reach.

Soccer has been a huge part of my life, and Josue played an important role in helping me reach my potential as a player. If you’re serious about improving and willing to put in the work, I highly recommend training with him.

-Owen H, 2007 soccer player.

We met Coach Josue when our son Crosby was playing on a recreation team. He invited our son to try out for his club team, and the growth in just one year has been beyond impressive. Not only did he elevate Crosby’s technical and physical skills, but he also taught him true sportsmanship, how to think strategically on the field, and how to practice and improve on his own at home.

What stands out most is the motivation and confidence Coach Josue instills in his players. He genuinely loves soccer and truly cares about the boys he coaches, and that shows in the way they develop both as athletes and as young men. Thanks to his guidance and leadership, our son earned a spot on the club’s Premier team the following season. We are incredibly grateful for the impact he has had on Crosby’s growth and love for the game. Thanks Josue.

-Kim T, mother of a 2015 boy that moved to a Premier level team.

Josue is a top-tier trainer who understands the mechanics of the game inside and out. He helped my son transition from a solid player to a standout one through focused, intelligent training that actually made sense and stuck with my son.

Whether he was mentoring the team or providing specialized private instruction, Josue’s ability to communicate complex concepts in a way that clicks for young athletes is unmatched. If you’re looking for a coach who delivers visible improvements and builds genuine confidence, Josue is the one.

-Matt D, father of a 2013 boy.

Working with Josue has been a great experience for my son. Josue is a truly exceptional soccer coach: knowledgeable, dedicated, and deeply invested in each player’s development. What sets Josue apart is his ability to both encourage and instruct. He not only motivates my son to do his best, but also gives him clear, specific guidance on exactly what he needs to work on to improve.

Since training with Josue, my son has made noticeable strides in ball handling, passing, spacing, and understanding how to contribute effectively as part of a team. Josue doesn’t take a one-size-fits-all approach; he goes above and beyond to work with each child individually, helping them build confidence while sharpening their technical skills.

If you’re looking for a coach who is passionate, committed, and genuinely focused on helping young athletes reach their full potential, then I wholeheartedly recommend Josue, especially for players who are ready to put in the time and effort to grow.

-Megan H, mother of a 2017 boy.

We feel so lucky to have Josue as our son’s coach. He’s truly a rockstar. His patience and genuine investment in our son’s growth really set him apart. Josue even took the time to visit our home to walk through ways he could improve, and he regularly shares helpful training videos.

Since working with Josue, we’ve seen huge growth in our son’s game. His understanding of positioning and spacing has improved. He keeps his eyes up, makes smarter passes, and his first touch is noticeably more controlled. His technical skills like dribbling, passing, and shooting have all taken a big step forward, along with his confidence on the field. Josue teaches the game beautifully and truly knows it at a high level. I highly recommend him to any family looking for a knowledgeable, passionate, and dedicated coach.

-Bryce and Shelby T, parents of a 2015 boy.

Josue is always respectful of both players and parents/guardians. Mid-season I brought a refugee boy to him asking if he could give this boy a chance to play soccer. Josue responded by welcoming him and giving positive feedback.

In the two short months that this boy has been on the team I’m sure his soccer skills have improved, but I notice a growth in his confidence and in his ability to be a team member. His attention skills have improved. He feels welcomed and cared for by his team and coach.

Josue strives to build confidence and belonging through respect and through challenging the boys to work hard together. He teaches the boys to notice their teammates’ strengths and weaknesses and help each other improve. Josue isn’t just teaching soccer, he is building confidence and teaching crucial life skills.

-Sue P, assists the family of a 2016 refugee boy.

My son has had the fortune of being coached by Josue. Josue is knowledgeable about soccer and also knowledgeable about teaching each individual player uniquely. He has helped him learn the game, learn to push himself as an athlete, and helped him have fun while working hard. He goes above and beyond to help and inspire his players.

I myself played 3 club sports growing up, and have also coached club soccer as an adult. I have never seen a coach, now or in my youth, that is as dedicated to improving athletes as Josue is. He invests in his players and will find ways to help them become the best that they can be.

-Melissa S, mother of a 2018 boy, former club soccer coach.

We have been so grateful for the way Josue has poured his heart into our son this season. He truly goes above and beyond not just teaching skills and strategy, but taking the time to understand each player and help them grow with confidence.

It’s clear he genuinely cares about their progress both on and off the field. I’ve never seen a coach quite like him, and the positive impact he’s had on these boys will last far beyond soccer.

-Mariah P, mother of a 2018 boy.

Coach Josue was such a blessing in my daughter’s first year of soccer. From day one, he created an environment that was positive, encouraging, and focused on building confidence. He didn’t just teach the fundamentals of the game. He taught teamwork, discipline, and belief in yourself.

What stood out most was his patience, and the way he made every player feel important, no matter their skill level. We’re so grateful for the time, energy, and heart Coach Josue poured into our daughter. Any athlete would be lucky to train with him.

-Sarah F, mother of a 2013 girl.

Josue has the perfect balance of love and empathy for his players, and the necessary coaching when things are tough. He understands the game at a very high level and helped my son not only be a better player but understand the field and his specific position better. Highly recommend Josue.

-Tony A, father of a 2016 boy.

Coach brings great knowledge and structure to every practice, and the kids really respond to it. We have seen so much improvement in our son’s skills. He is truly dedicated and genuinely cares about helping each child grow and reach their potential.

-Kathryn C, mother of a 2017 boy.
